Microsoft adds AI button to keyboards to call up chatbot

Microsoft said it is adding a button to its Windows keyboard that would pull up the tech giant's Copilot service, in the first change for the device in nearly three decades. The "Copilot key", announced on Thursday, marks the latest effort by the company, which is investing billions in AI, to incorporate the Technology in its products. The addition of the key underscores the Redmond, Washington-based company's ambitions for AI-enabled PCs. These machines work on advanced chips capable of running large-language models and apps powered by the technology directly on the device instead of the cloud. Analysts say the introduction of AI PCs could help the personal computer market bounce back after its post-pandemic slump, with research firm Canalys expecting the adoption of AI-capable PCs to speed up from 2025 onwards. Gmail makes unsubscribing easier with a new button

Post its announcement in October, Gmail has added a more prominent ‘Unsubscribe’ button on the web. Previously, Google announced the requirement for bulk email senders to include a one-click unsubscribe button within the body of their emails. Now, Gmail is taking a significant step to make this "Unsubscribe" button more prominent. On the web version of Gmail, users will notice a blue button placed next to the sender's name, the verification checkmark (if applicable), and the sender's email address. Queensland man invents car anti-theft device - a hidden button called StarterStopper

A Queensland man who has invented a vehicle anti-theft device says he started the project after his brother-in-law’s car was stolen. Cairns resident Nick Bradt believes car thefts - a key element of the state’s youth crime crisis - could be reduced by his product, which he has named the StarterStopper.
