Anthropic releases Claude 3 AI as tech race continues

Anthropic, a startup backed by Google (GOOGL.O) and Amazon.com (AMZN.O), on Monday revealed a suite of artificial intelligence models known as Claude 3, the latest salvo in Silicon Valley's near incessant contest to market still-more powerful technology. According to the startup, the most capable in the family, Claude 3 Opus, outperforms rival models GPT-4 from OpenAI and Gemini 1.0 Ultra from Google on various benchmark exams. "This is the Rolls-Royce of models, at least at this point in time," CEO Dario Amodei said in an interview. Advances from Anthropic's com Pet itors have already been previewed or are expected, and Reuters was unable to verify the claims independently. Microsoft's Xbox to release four titles on external platforms

 Microsoft's Xbox will release four video-game titles on external platforms, gaming CEO Phil Spencer said on a podcast on Thursday, as it looks to tap into a wider base of gamers following its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Although Spencer did not give more details on the titles the company intends to release, he said they have been available to Xbox players for at least a year. He also made it clear that the Game s coming to other platforms does not include "Starfield" or the upcoming "Indiana Jones" title . Spencer said games exclusive to one piece of hardware were going to become a smaller part of the industry over the next five to 10 years. Lionel Messi finally secured the one prize that had always eluded him when he guided La Albiceleste to World Cup glory in 2022. The soccer world followed with bated breath as the Argentina captain dragged his side to the final where they faced off against reigning holders and pre-tournament favorites France. The story will be told in a four-part docuseries , available to stream on Apple TV+ . iOS 16.3 to release next week with new features

Apple has announced that iOS16.3 will be available for all iPhone users next week and will include new features and enhancements, including major bug fixes, Macrumours reported. The new update will provide support for security keys for Apple IDs, HomePod handoff prompt and Emergency SOS settings rewording. More features may be added in the later beta versions of the software update as well. The Security Keys for Apple IDs will give users the option to use hardware security keys to protect their accounts and information. This feature will strengthen Apple's two-factor authentication with security keys as one of the factors instead of a verification code. Apple might rely on third-party security keys available from Yubico, and not release its own.
