Warning to owners of Garmin Venu 2 Plu and Garmin D2 Air X10 Smart Watches over issues with software

An urgent warning has been issue d for two models of Garmin Smart Watches because of an issue with the device’s software . Product Safety Australia said the watches, sold nationally and through Garmin’s website, are at risk of overheating because of an error with the LED which can cause the watches to short circuit. This can cause blistering of the skin and irritation. For more Recalls related news and videos check out Recalls >> The Garmin Venu 2 Plus, sold between November 8 2021 and August 25, 2023 and the Garmin D2 Air X10 sold between January 24, 2022 and August 25, 2023 have been affected by the recall. Product identification of “Venu 2 Plus” or “D2 Air X10” are marked on the back case of the watches. “The light-emitting diode (LED) of the optical heart rate (OHR) sensor in affected smartwatches may experience a localised short-circuit,” the recall said. “There is a risk of skin irritation or blistering to the area of skin underneath the OHR sensor from the heat of the sm...

Google Bard can now help write software code

Alphabet Inc's Google said on Friday it will update Bard, its generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, to help people write code to develop software , as the tech giant plays catch-up in a fast-moving race on AI Technology . Last month, the company started the public release of Bard to gain ground on Microsoft Corp. The release of ChatGPT, a chatbot from the Microsoft-backed startup OpenAI, last year caused a sprint in the Technology sector to put AI into more users' hands. Google describes Bard as an experiment allowing collaboration with generative AI, Technology that relies on past data to create rather than identify content. Bard will be able to code in 20 programming languages including Java, C++ and Python, and can also help debug and explain code to users, Google said on Friday.
