Tiny Hearts Foundation issues warning over ‘margarita burn’

An urgent warning has been issued to parents after a toddler was burned by a lime while playing in a backyard pool. Tiny Hearts Education, a company that provides first-aid courses for parents, shared the warning posted by an Australian mother to remind other parents of a little-known injury called ‘margarita burn’ . A Melbourne man who fears he and a friend were caught up in a bizarre attempted carjacking is urgently warning other motorists to be aware. Daniel Borghesi shared terrifying dashcam footage showing a man jump in front of his friend’s car along Hoddle St, Abbotsford about 4.30am last Thursday. Mother’s warning after Snapchat’s ‘creepy’ AI bot asks daughter to ‘meet’ up

Melbourne mother Teagan Luketic has a warning for parents after an AI bot on her daughter ’s Snapchat claimed it was a “real” 25-year-old man. It even told the 13-year-old Olinda: “Age is just a number.” The bot suggested it meet the girl at a park 1km from her home, in a “creepy” conversation that Luketic, 32, documented with screenshots. Aldi customer’s warning about exploding candle from the popular grocery store

An ALDI customer has warned others to be careful when burning candles after hers exploded. The woman shared a photo of her shattered Purewick Lychee and Pomegranate scented candle in a Facebook group for ALDI lovers. “Don’t let your candle s burn too far down, I guess,” she captioned the photo. US uni graduate’s warning over LinkedIn job offer scam that cost her $A3500

A recent university graduate has shared an emotional warning to other jobseekers after being scammed out of $A3500 in a fake LinkedIn job offer . Jennifer Chernenko thought she finally found her “big break” in her hunt for a job after graduating from Georgia State University in the US when she was targeted by a scammer. Chernenko said she had applied for hundreds of jobs when she was contacted on LinkedIn by someone claiming to be an employee at Bold Business, one of the companies she applied to work as a social media specialist. NASA scientist’s ‘serious’ asteroid warning for Earth

Experts are warning the threat of an asteroid striking Earth may be more serious than previously thought. James Garvin, chief scientist of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre, said his team had strong concerns that previous impact sites actually stretched tens of kilometres further than believed, Science.org reported. “It would be in the range of serious crap happening,” he said bluntly. Indonesia is warning people against consuming liquid nitrogen after more than 20 children were harmed eating a street snack known as “dragon’s breath” that’s at the centre of a dangerous new viral video trend . The children suffered burns to their skin, severe stomach pains and food poisoning after consuming the colourful candies, according to Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, which is urging parents, teachers and local health authorities to be vigilant.
