Meta takes steps to remove Hamas-related disinformation

Meta said on Friday it was taking steps including removing praise and substantive support for Hamas from its platforms after the European Union reprimanded social media companies for not doing enough to tackle disinformation . Since Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, misleading claims and doctored images have spread on Facebook and other social media. Instagram will remove the Shop tab from navigation in February

Instagram has announced it will put its Create button back in the centre of its main navigation bar and remove the Shop tab. Instagram head Adam Mosseri said in a Reel on Monday the move would “simplify” the app and refocus its priorities to “bring people together over what they love”. The new order of the navigation bar will be Home, Search, Create, Reels and Profile. The proposed changes will take effect in February. Microsoft is going to remove Wordpad from Windows after 30 years

Microsoft plans to no longer update Wordpad but instead to remove feature from future Windows updates. Users will be recommended Microsoft Word in the future for a better experience. “WordPad is no longer being updated and will be remove d in a future release of Windows,” reads a support note published by Microsoft. “We recommend Microsoft Word for rich text documents like .doc and .rtf and Windows Notepad for plain text documents like .txt.” The announcement of the removal came just after Microsoft updated Microsoft Notepad with autosave and automatic restoral of tabs. Reddit asks moderators to remove NSFW labels

Reddit is forcing moderators to remove NSFW labels or else they will be remove d from the position of a moderator . As a move to register their protest against Reddit’s new API pricing, many communities have used the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) designation/label. Reddit's new API pricing has caused chaos on the platform as many apps like Apollo and Rif which are fun for Reddit went for a shutdown.
