TikTok deleted 11.7m Pakistani videos
ISLAMABAD: TikTok – a popular online video sharing social networking service – has removed around 11.7 million videos uploaded from Pakistan for violating its community guidelines in the first quarter of 2023. The online short video service has released its latest community guidelines enforcement report for Q1 2023 (January-March 2023) as part of its strategy to stop misinformation on the platform and create a safe environment for its users. In its report, TikTok said it had removed over 91 million videos globally during this period. They make up roughly around 0.6% of the total videos uploaded to the platform from across the world. In comparison, the number of video s removed globally was more than 85.68 million in the fourth quarter of 2022. Around 53.49 million video s were automatically removed worldwide while 6.20 million deleted after reviewing them.
