Tiny Hearts Foundation issues warning over ‘margarita burn’
An urgent warning has been issued to parents after a toddler was burned by a lime while playing in a backyard pool. Tiny Hearts Education, a company that provides first-aid courses for parents, shared the warning posted by an Australian mother to remind other parents of a little-known injury called ‘margarita burn’ . The Australian mum goes on to explain how her son Otis was innocently playing in an inflatable backyard pool in the sun on Friday afternoon. As part of the sensory play in the pool, the kids were also playing with some citrus fruits including a lime. But a day later the mum says she noticed a rash had developed on Otis’s skin.
