The study, a randomised controlled trial expected to start later this year, will investigate whether psilocybin, the psychedelic compound found in “magic mushrooms”, can help people quit smoking tobacco. India proposes new law with self-certification for broadcasters

India on Friday introduced a new draft broadcast ing law to regulate the sector that will also apply to streaming giants such as Netflix, Disney and Amazon and calls for the formation of individual content evaluation committees. Netflix and Amazon have become hugely popular in India, which is set to grow into a $7 billion market for the sector by 2027, according to Media Partners Asia. Google to delete millions of abandoned Gmail accounts next month

As announced in May 2023, Google will begin closing down unused Gmail account s in December 2023. The move comes as a way to curb attacks and security threats such as spam, phishing scams and account hijacking. Abandoned account s are more prone to attacks as they are not updated with frequent security updates such as two-factor authentication (2FA) that improve account protection. Google said that it would send multiple notifications before deleting the account s. Account deletion will take place in multiple phases, starting with account s that were created but never opened again. Previously, Google had launched its generative AI-supported Search engine that allowed users to get more relevant information for their search .
